Omni Network (Omni) is a platform designed to integrate Ethereum rollups, offering developers and users universal access to all of Ethereum’s liquidity and capabilities without compromise. Recently, Omni became the first Actively Validated Service (AVS) to secure $1B in restaked $ETH commitments from the industry’s leading liquid restaking protocols, such as EtherFi, Renzo, Puffer, Kelp, Swell, EigenPie and BedRock. The Omni Foundation followed this announcement by releasing the Omni Whitepaper, outlining how Omni establishes a new primitive for the Ethereum infrastructure stack. Shortly after, Omni’s final testnet, Omni Omega, went live on the Holesky testnet. Soon, Omni will deploy as one of the first EigenLayer AVSs on mainnet.

In anticipation of Omni’s upcoming mainnet debut, the Omni Foundation is thrilled to announce the details for the $OMNI Genesis airdrop program. This event will be instrumental in rewarding the Omni community and its partners across the Ethereum ecosystem. Genesis Airdrop Details

The Omni Foundation will soon launch $OMNI as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum with a total supply of 100,000,000; 3,000,000 of which (3% of the total $OMNI supply) will be distributed as part of the airdrop.

Eligibility for the airdrop was determined retroactively as of April 3, 2024. Users have 45 days to claim their $OMNI rewards after which all unclaimed tokens will be returned to the Omni Foundation to be used for future community initiatives.

Users can check their eligibility for the Genesis airdrop today, with support for claims coming in the near future. The 45 day claims period will not begin until claims are opened. The Omni Foundation will keep users informed once these systems are live via Omni Network’s official Twitter account and Discord. We strongly advise our community members to exercise caution and be wary of potential scams.

The $OMNI Genesis airdrop is broken down across the following categories:

Omni Community

1,500,000 $OMNI – 50% of Genesis airdrop

Half of the $OMNI Genesis airdrop is reserved for Omni community members, making it by far the largest component of the Genesis airdrop. This allocation aims to acknowledge the contributions of early testnet users, builders, and key participants within the Omni community. Eligibility for individual community rewards is determined by the number of Galxe OATs minted from previous testnet activities. Additionally, leading projects that deployed cross-rollup applications on the Omni Overdrive testnet, Omni Vanguards, Omni Guardians, and select content creators will also be rewarded for their duties stewarding and growing the Omni community.

A first round of anti-sybil parameters using cluster analysis were applied during the data preparation process for Omni testnet users to ensure that the system was not manipulated. Wallets that were funded from the same source, addresses with similar activity, and addresses transferring funds in a cluster of more than 20 addresses were considered to be sybil clusters. Half of the $OMNI Genesis rewards allocated to testnet users will be allocated to addresses that passed this first sybil check, while the second half will be allocated following a second round of anti-sybil testing. Final allocations for testnet users will be determined prior to the $OMNI Genesis claim date.

EigenLayer Restakers

400,000 $OMNI – 13.3% of Genesis airdrop

The Omni Network leverages restaked $ETH via EigenLayer as a core component of its security model and early restakers have played a crucial role in bootstrapping the capital required to make this system work. The top 10,000 restakers will be eligible for $OMNI Genesis rewards, determined using restaked points data gathered from EigenLayer and liquid restaking protocols.

Beacon Chain Solo Stakers

300,000 $OMNI – 10% of Genesis airdrop

Solo stakers on Ethereum’s Beacon Chain are critical to upholding Ethereum’s decentralization, which will be furthered through the mainnet deployment of Omni Network. Addresses identified as Beacon Chain solo stakers will be eligible to claim $OMNI rewards. Rewards for 5,000 Beacon Chain solo stakers will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis – the first 5,000 addresses to claim the airdrop will receive 60 $OMNI each.

Milady Maker & Redacted Remilio Babies NFT Holders

380,000 $OMNI – 12.7% of Genesis airdrop

Over the last two years, the Remilia community has played a pivotal role in advancing crypto-native culture on Ethereum, particularly during the depths of the most recent bear market. To acknowledge this community, 3,682 addresses holding Milady Maker NFTs and 2,865 addresses holding Redacted Remilio Babies NFTs will be eligible for $OMNI Genesis rewards. Core contributor wallets from Omni Labs containing these NFT collections have been removed from eligibility.

Pudgy Penguin NFT Holders

170,000 $OMNI – 5.7% of Genesis airdrop

While NFTs were largely dismissed as a bubble associated with the 2020-2021 bull market, the team behind Pudgy Penguins has demonstrated that NFTs are more than just pictures of cute animals. Pudgies have transcended the digital realm and are now featured in global retail stores as Pudgy Toys. This expansion is driven by the team’s pioneering work in the area of intellectual property (IP) licensing, especially through the development of Overpass. To reward the project’s resiliency and commitment to advancing the Ethereum NFT ecosystem, 4,609 addresses holding Pudgy Penguin NFTs will be eligible for $OMNI Genesis rewards.

The Ninjas NFT Holders

75,000 $OMNI – 2.5% of Genesis airdrop

Since its inception, Omni has maintained a strong relationship with the Injective protocol, which stands out as the first project to onboard to the Open Liquidity Network. As a thank you to the Injective community, 1,585 addresses holding Ninja NFTs are eligible for $OMNI Genesis rewards. 

Strategic Partner Protocols

175,000 $OMNI – 5.8% of Genesis airdrop

The organizations of 25 protocols that have partnered with Omni and contributed to its early growth, such as Ether.Fi, Monad, Berachain, and EigenLayer, are eligible for $OMNI rewards. $OMNI claimed by strategic partners can be used at the discretion of the partner protocol.

The Genesis airdrop is not available to users in the United States, Canada, Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Iraq, Lesotho, Libya, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, North Macedonia, Qatar, Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Tunisia,  Iran, Syria, Cuba, North Korea, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
