Symbiotic Integrates Omni: Enabling Seamless Access to Ethereum Rollup Liquidity and Users

Fragmentation across Ethereum's rollup ecosystem has made it challenging for protocols on Ethereum L1 to access all Ethereum users and liquidity. Omni is bridging this gap by empowering developers to access users and liquidity across all rollups—without requiring smart contract upgrades. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that Symbiotic will leverage Omni, becoming the first protocol on Ethereum L1 to support direct deposits from Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base without modifying its smart contracts.

Additionally, Omni will strengthen its network security by integrating Symbiotic’s modular shared security infrastructure. By incorporating a diverse set of restaking providers, Omni will further boost the network's resilience.

Symbiotic Expands to All of Ethereum with Omni

Backed by industry leaders Paradigm and Cyber.Fund, Symbiotic has emerged as a leader in shared security on Ethereum, achieving over $1.6 billion in ETH deposits since launching in June. With this integration, Symbiotic can now accept direct deposits from Ethereum rollups into its L1 protocol. This step amplifies Symbiotic’s reach and enhances user accessibility across the Ethereum ecosystem—all without new audits or deployments.

Building a Resilient Future for Ethereum

As a network designed to reduce fragmentation across the Ethereum ecosystem, Omni secures itself through Ethereum L1 by leveraging restaked ETH. In addition to enabling direct rollup deposits for Symbiotic, Omni will soon incorporate Symbiotic as a restaking security provider. Initially launched as the first Actively Validated Service (AVS) on EigenLayer, Omni’s security framework will diversify by incorporating restaked ETH from both EigenLayer and Symbiotic, reinforcing Omni’s resilience.

Symbiotic's unique, modular architecture supports both rapid development and easy integration with existing systems. For Omni, this flexible restaking framework is the perfect way to configure security parameters while maintaining rigorous standards, strengthening the network’s security profile as we expand cross-rollup capabilities.

Omni: The Abstraction Layer for the Ethereum Ecosystem

Omni’s SDK empowers developers to access all Ethereum rollups, seamlessly unifying the ecosystem under a single framework. By abstracting away cross-chain complexities, Omni enables integration with multiple rollups in days rather than months, with no need for smart contract modifications or audits. This flexibility allows developers to focus on scaling and innovating while Omni’s sophisticated network of solvers handles backend complexities.

Omni’s infrastructure simplifies operations for developers by keeping codebases intact, allowing them to reach Ethereum’s full user base and liquidity without friction. For users, Omni brings Web2-level simplicity, removing the need for manual bridging, RPC switching, and gas management. By integrating Omni’s SDK, applications like Symbiotic can now seamlessly tap into liquidity across the Ethereum rollup ecosystem.

Omni isn’t just supporting Ethereum’s rollup future—we’re leading it. By establishing Omni as the essential abstraction layer for cross-chain functionality, we’re enabling protocols to reach new users, access liquidity, and innovate without the limits of traditional multichain setups. With Omni, Symbiotic is now able to support direct deposits from Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base into its L1 protocol, all without smart contract upgrades.

About Omni Network

Omni is a chain abstraction layer for the Ethereum ecosystem, allowing developers to access all of the users and liquidity in the Ethereum ecosystem without smart contract upgrades. Omni is making Web3 feel like Web2 for users—no manual bridging, switching RPCs, managing gas, or wallet upgrades are needed to interact with applications powered by Omni. To simplify both user and developer experiences, Omni delegates cross-chain complexity to sophisticated third parties through Omni’s solver network.
